# Pioneers

## What is Pioneers?

**Pioneers** is an on-chain NFT survival and strategy game, powered by the Ethereum blockchain. The Pioneer NFTs represent iconic 19th-century prairie schooners ready to embark on a journey to the Western frontier. When the wagons set off on the trails, they will face a wide range of contingencies. It is important for them to be well-equipped with the right tools to avoid falling behind other pioneers and getting ambushed.

**All players will contribute to enriching the prize in the same way.** This is because mint fees will end up in a large prize pool and then be shared through in-game activities.

The highlights are:

* Choose an initial trail from which to start your wagon.
* As soon as the journey begins, a transparent system of random generation will draw wagons that will suffer inconveniences.
* Each NFT is immune to 2 of the 13 types of inconveniences available.
* Wagons that have suffered inconveniences are vulnerable to ambushes by other players.
* You can reinforce your wagon by buying extra supplies along the trail (the fee will be added to the prize pool).
* You can decide to end your journey by settling down and receiving a portion of the prize pool.
* The last remaining wagon will win the entire prize pool.
