In addition to the two items that each NFT has, which provide permanent immunity to the corresponding inconveniences, players can purchase Extra Supplies for their wagons. In this way, if your wagon becomes vulnerable and gets ambushed, instead of being destroyed it will consume an Extra Supply.

However, to avoid a hypothetic discrepancy between players with more or fewer financial resources, the price of an Extra Supply grows exponentially on the amount of already purchased ones:

$$Price = SupplyBaseCost * 2^k$$

where k is the amount of already purchased Extra Supplies.

Obviously, the fee goes into the prize pool.
